 As general rule it should be kept in mind that the dogs of small sizes they live (and they sleep) better inside the house. The big dogs, on the other hand, will be installed in the patio, in the garden, in the garages. If we want the animal to live outdoors, it is necessary that he has the possibility to be protected under a roof or in a hut located in a dry place that he is not exposed to wings or air currents. The hut will need to be proportional to the size of the animal; it is necessary to consider that he will need to have the necessity space to move inside without making contortions. The classic is wooden, lacquered inside and on the outside to protect it from corrosion and to avoid the formation of parasites nests. It is better if the hut is collapsible, to facilitate the periodic cleanings. 

 Who wants to build a hut he needs to keep in mind that he should have a single wide opening that will allow the animal to enter and to go out with comfort. In the cold or rainy days and during the winter, it will be better to place on the entrance an old blanket that will protect him from the humanity's, therefore, of the unavoidable sequel of rheumatism that can affect him even if he is young. 

 Also we need to make sure that the hut is a least 10 centimeter above the floor and that the roof should be waterproof. Inside, we should place a small mattress or an old blanket that it can get ventilated in the sunny days. 

 And if one observes that the dog suffers because delirium in winter, we should  allow him to sleep in some hot corner of the house. The garage is, in general, a good place, but it is necessary to watch over the dangerous gases that come out of the cars by the exhaust pipe.
