WELSH VALLHOUND
The Welsh Vallhound is a dog that has been already known from very ancient times since it was used by the Vikings as a guardian and herd flock dog. It looks very similar as well as in the physical aspect as in the temperament to the Welsh Corgi. A Swedish breeder, the count Bjorn von Rosen, saved this breed from extermination in the 40's.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
There are currently two varieties. One of them is kind of heavier with a thicker and stiffer coat. Despite its similarities with the Corgi, the Vallhound has an unmistakable personality. Stubborn and resistant, it is a good guardian dog, always ready to bark; also a good company dog, friendly and always willing to help.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
It usually has a thick and abundant hair, with a discrete long hair around the neck. Oval dark eyes of a wishing look. Straight and very pointy ears. In its natural state, the tail shouldn't be longer than 10 cm. Wide and robust paws with rounded feet of a middle size. It should have a straight and muscles back. Dog Toys .Even and robust body.
