The are many factors that influence the dog's way of moving or a dog motion sickness. The first one is the construction, or in other words, the anatomic structure. A dog with a correct angle on the shoulder blade as for example the Golden Retriever, will have more flexibility on its movements than another that has the shoulder blade too straight, this dog will probably walk with certain rigidity, as if trotting, which constitutes a defect unless it is considered a characteristic of a determined breed such as the Miniature Pinscher, for example. The age and physical shape also influence the way of moving. A young and well-muscled dog will move a lot easier than an old, bad shape or overweighed dog. Like us, dogs should gradually acquire a good muscular tone and be able to maintain it later on. However, the fact that there are, unfortunately, as many extremely lazy and obese dogs as humans is very frequent nowadays.
Overweight has a repercussion on the inner organs as well as in the agility and the elegance when moving. There are currently so many specialized veterinary consultations specialized in overweight problems that you shouldn't doubt in giving your dog treatment if it needs help loosing weight. The dogs get as much benefit as we do with a controlled diet along with an increment in physical exercises.
THE FOURS WAYS OF MOVING
Dog usually move in one of these four ways: pacing, trotting, half galloping or galloping. Each breed or type is usually characterized by a determined way to mark the rhythm of their steps. On the other hand, other breeds were bred because of their great flexibility.
