Straight-Coated Retriever & Chesapeak Bay Retriever Puppy Dogs
The Straight-Coated Retriever, is of British origin, has become popular for its good character and working capacity. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is of American origin, where it was, and keeps on being, bred as a working dog.
GENERAL Dog DESCRIPTION
Both of them are sociable, intelligent and vigorous, they love retrieving and swimming and are more adequate for the countryside than for the city. The Straight-Coated Retriever is a dog that gets easily adapted to almost all situations. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is a little harder to train, but respond well when it is treated with tenderness.
PHYSICAL ASPECT of Dogs
The Straight-Coated Retriever has black or brown hair, with not many fringes. Its eyes, of middle size, should be dark brown or hazel. Its ears, small, hanging on the sides of the head. The tail should be short and straight and the feet, rounded, with arched fingers. The body is much arched at the center with pretty flattened ribs. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever should have dark brown or yellowish brown hair, tight, slightly curly. The eyes, separated from each other, small ears, webbed feet and deep and powerful chest. Infringed tails are not accepted.

- HEALTH PROBLEMS: It is recommended to rule out ocular malformations in both of them.
- HEIGHT: Straight-Coated Retriever: 56.5 – 65 cm; Chesapeake Bay Retriever: 53.5 – 66 cm.
