SCOTTISH TERRIER (Scottie)
Even when the Scottish Terrier (Scottie) breeding was documented for the first time by the end of XIX century, it is believed that the breed already existed many centuries before. All the Irish Highland descend from Highland Terrier, from which they inherited the courage and the Scottish Terrier is not an exception, but it is more often seen in expositions and canine beauty contests than working.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As a good Terrier, it is anything except a coward. It loves hunting and harassing, but it doesn't show aggression too soon. It can be hostile with strangers sometimes, but it is loyal with the members of its family and a home lover, it will defend its home, no matter what. Of funny and playful nature.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Black, straw or freckled coat, hard and thick. Dark, deep-set eyes, very separate from each other. Straight ears, placed at the upper edge of the head, not too close from each other.
