Use in the north side of Russia as reindeer's Shepherd and guardian by the tribe to which it owes its name. It used to work very closely with its masters and slept in the same tents. It has always loved to live with human families.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Intelligent and smart, the Samoyed will let you know if someone is approaching you house, but it will accept the visits if its masters accept them. Its coat need a lot of time of grooming and molt its hair. Even when they are noisy sometimes, modern training methods based on the motivation can solve the problem.

 

The expression of its face makes it look smiley, in some part, for the distribution of it facial features and in some other for its always happy and joyful character. It is important to train it constantly from a very young age since it is not obedient all of the time.

PHYSICAL ASPECT

Inclemency proved exterior coat, white, cream or white and wafer in color, formed by silver tipped hair, protect the interior coat, thick and soft. Almond, oblique eyes, with black covered eyelids. With an intelligent and smart look. Pointy ears, slightly rounded, very separated from each other, covered with hair, also in the inside part, straight on the adult dogs. Long and hairy tail that keeps turned in the back and slightly leaning when it is alert. Its feet are covered with abundant hair underneath that work as a snow racquets, middle size back, wide and muscular.
