PYRENEAN MOUNTAIN DOG
Amazing animal used during centuries in the rough mountains to protect the flock from wild animals and drag sleighs. Some of these animals were taken to the court of Louis XIV and later on they were used in the war. By the end of the first decade of the XIX century, the breed was almost exterminated, but their trainers were able to recover it. It received its current name in 1908.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Robust, resistant and healthy, it takes a lot time to reach the maturity both physically and mentally. Good family dog, king and caring with children. It is incredibly agile and light, considering its size. It learns to obey easily and quickly, if an experienced person trains it. Sociable and affectionate, but also a great guardian when necessary.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Very thick mantle and a double coat, white or white with gray spots with abundant hair on the pitcher and on the rear quarters. Very thick tail that can touch the floor or be curved on the back. Almond eyes brown in color with a smart look. Small, triangles ears, hanging next to the head. Compact feet with slightly arched fingers. Wide chest and muscular back.
