Puppies 6-12 weeks

Dog Average Life Cycle.

The human intervention is escential during this period. The socialization (process during which the puppy learns how to behave with humans and other dogs) should take place in this period. It is also escencial to get the puppy used to or gradually exposed to all the elements and changes that are usually produced in the surrounding area. A propperly socialized puppy, one that is familiarized with the enviroment turns into a selfconfident, happy and obedient adult no matter the circumstances or the places it is exposed to in the future.

From this moment, the puppy begins to get huge quantities of information about the surrounding world. They can move with fluency now, perfectly coordinating its movements, they can also run as well as jump and roll around. This is the time in which they need playing with their brothers and people more than ever, in order to learn the social conduct rules. It is also during this time when they constantly nail their tiny teeth like pins everywhere in order to determine if the things around them are animated or inanimated.

Normally, the puppy is fully weaned after the seventh week and is able to eat all the solid food the it needs to satisfy its nutritional necessities by itself. The puppy is ready to be separated from its mother and pack partners when it is 8 weeks old, even when many puppies stay with their mother until they are 10 weeks old.
