NORWICH TERRIER AND NORFOLK TERRIER
The feature that distinguishes both breeds are the ears, straight and pointy in the Norwich Terrier and hanging in the Norfolk. Recognized as independent breeds by the British Kennel Club from 1964.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Both breeds are persevering to stubbornness and full of energy. They are very small but they can bark as loudly in case of danger that they can be excellent guard dogs. They have a quiet and treatable character, usually happy and playful as pets.
They are as crafty as playful, but they learn fast, specially if you use modern training methods (motivational).
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Both breeds have a neat and naturally cut coat that only needs to be brushed and combed regularly, taking out the dead and old hair. They can have a shiny red color, black and fire or graying, but the last two ones more difficult to find.
Stiff and hard hair, with neat and discrete eyebrows and mustache. Dark and very shiny eyes of an oval shape, pretty deep-set.
They keep their tail vertical, frequently amputated. Small, rounded feet. Both have a short, but light and agile body. Their short paws don't stop them from walking firmly and with agility.
