NORWEGIAN ELKHOUND Dogs
Originated in Norway many centuries ago, it was used by the Vikings for elk hunting and as a guardian
Its powerful barking still makes it a great guardian dog.
Dog GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Independent and courageous, it has enough strength to pounce big preys such as elks. It keeps its hunting instincts, so it would be happy with a very active family that would allow it to make permanent and frequent exercise. Smart and easy to train, it easily wins the obedience and agility contests. It is usually good and caring with all of the family members.
PHYSICAL Dog ASPECT
Very dense hair, but relatively easy to maintain properly. Straight hair on the outer coat. It has a mark of the shape of a harness formed by darker and longer hair that go from the cross to the elbow. Small, pointy and straight ears. The outer edge of its ears should be in a vertical position in an alert state. Thick, curled tail that touches the center of the back. Dog Toys
