NORWEGIAN BUHUND
This is one of the first Nordic hunting dogs, probably originated two thousand years ago. Its name means "farm dog" and it was used a guardian of the farms and Shepherd. It is till untruthful with strangers.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
With a light complexion and huge capacity for work. It enjoys training sessions and any other activity that would allow it to use its muscles and its intelligence. Considering it vitality and never ending energy, it needs relatively little physical exercise to keep in good shape. Besides, it is very clean and it gets quickly brushed with almost no effort. It can be kind of stubborn so it needs constant training. As a good guardian dog, it is noisy and brave. Even when it can look cold and reserved, it loves its family and it cares a lot for children.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Straight and hard external coat. It can be straw, red or black in color, sometimes with little symmetric white spots. Dark brown eyes, full of life, that seems to express that it fears nothing in this world. Shaped and very pointy ears placed high. Short and thick tail, with longer hair on the rear side that it keeps turned on the back, forming a much closed line. Small rounded feet. Strong and short body, with a light aspect.
