LOWCHEN (Little lion-dog)

LOWCHEN (Little lion-dog)

This French breed is also known as "Little Lion-Dog" due to its traditional haircut, which origin is still uncertain, even when it is believed that it originally responded the practical issues since, as it is believed, the Lowchen was used as a bed warmer and the shaved areas of the body used to warm quickly and more efficiently the fingers and toe of their owners. The current behavior of this little dog seems to confirm that theory because it loves being under the sheets and stays there without moving a muscle.
