LAKELAND TERRIER
Its name alludes the Lake District of the north of England where it was bred to get wolves and badgers out of their hideouts. Among its ancestors, we can probably include the Border Terrier, the Bedlington Terrier and the Fox Terrier. The first breed club was founded in 1912 and the breed was officially recognizes in 1921.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This small and robust dog surely deserves is worker dog nickname. It feels more comfortable in the countryside. It is tough, combative as the majority of Terriers, but also submissive and friendly, so it can get along well with children and also with other dogs. It has a joyful character, learns fast and likes being put to the test. It needs regular intensive brushing.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
