Bred in Terranova and then exported to the Labrador peninsula. It was used as a fishermen net retriever, at first, but it soon showed its skills as a hunting dog. Originally black, it can also be yellow or chocolate in color.

GENERAL Puppies & Dog DESCRIPTION

Its working instinct and its extraordinary intelligence make it an almost perfect dog. It is pretty mischievous as a puppy, but it gets quickly trained. It deeply loves its masters, enjoys playing a lot and it can be left alone with children with total trust. It is very appreciated as a pet, guide dog and company and rehabilitation dog. It has a happy character so it needs to be active and avoid boredom. It loves eating, so if you don't pay close attention to its diet it can easily get fat.

 

PHYSICAL ASPECT of Puppies & Dog

Short and tight exterior hair, with no curls or fringes. Middle sized eyes, brown or hazel in color. Ears lightly backwards, not too close to the face. Thick tail at the base, that progressively narrows to the tip, with no fringes. Rounded and compact feet, provided with thick pads. Deep and wide chest, with promised and arched ribs, Straight body.
