JAPANESE CHIN
Breed of Chinese origin, introduced in Japan as a gift from an empress to the Japanese royal family. The Buddhist missionaries who came from China could also take some of these dogs into Japan, where they acquired their current characteristics as time went by.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The word chin ("catlike") perfectly defines this breed that moves with cat elegance. It washes its face as well as cats do and, also like cats, they love the soft and warm sofas and armchairs and to cuddle in their master's arms while he caresses it. Like almost all of the Toys, it needs a lot of attention and physical contact. It is lively and even playful, but it never looses that fine and nice aspect. Great company dog due to the sweetness of its character.
