GREYHOUND AND SALUKI Dogs
The Greyhound as well as the Saluki, both capable to gallop 64 km/h comes from the Middle East. On the mural paintings of the Ancient Egypt we can find very similar dogs to these ones, which seems to indicate that they are very ancient breeds.
GENERAL Dog DESCRIPTION
Slender as feathers when galloping, they are more famous for their incredible speed that for their friendliness, but truth is that their loyal and delicate spirit make turn them into marvelous company dogs.
The loyalty of the Saluki in concrete, is exceptional and even when they both can seem cold and distant to unknown people, the Greyhound is specially sensitive and affectionate. They are quiet dogs, but they need space to run freely and frequently.
Dog's PHYSICAL ASPECT
The color of the coat has a lot of variations. The Greyhound, with its short and not very thick hair, requires very little maintenance, as well as the Saluki, but in its case, it is necessary to handle the brush on a very kind way so you won't break its fine hair. The Greyhound has tiny ears and the Saluki long ones, covered with silky hair. Both have the tail long and curved by nature, but the Saluki's is covered with longer hair.
Both of them have deep chests and the neck and rear paws slender and powerful.
