GORDON SETTER Dogs
It is believed that this robust Scottish breed was originated on the properties of duke of Gordon by the end of the XVIII century; it was really appreciated by its huge resistance and very sharp sense of smell.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Gordon Setter style and authentic hunter's wood. It is vigorous, tireless and loves to be outdoors. Its passion for its owners and its natural protection instincts make it be distrustful with strangers. Intelligent and willing, need constant and sensitive trainers.
It is outgoing, fears nothing and has a balanced character, sweet and wonderfully loyal.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Its hair, of a medium length, should be straight, except on the head, the front paws and the tips of the ears. Black coat with high shoes and spots, fire leading to mahogany in color, over the eyes, the snout, the chest, the inner part of the rear paws and under the tail. Dark brown eyes, very shining and with an intelligent and smart aspect. Not very thick ears, placed low, stuck to the face. It can have the tail straight or slightly curved and keep it horizontally or under the back line.
Body of a middle length, with a much lowered chest.
