GERMAN LONGHAIRED POINTER puppy dogs
This Pointer species, is the least known among all the German hunting dogs, surpasses the majority of Pointers and Braques in speed, it has Setter Gordon's blood and an image that goes better with a Spaniel than with a Setter or a Pointer. It is not related to the German Braque with short hair, but it was bred from the Epagneul Breton and feather hunters with long hair.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Even when it is not very popular, it would deserve to be due to it adventurous character, its patience and intelligence. Its appearance is not as aristocratic as show dogs but have a great sense of smell, it is hardworking and reliable. As long as it is entertained and exercises enough, it can be a good company dog. It really likes learning and is easy to train, so it is recommended for inexperienced owners.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Curly hair, rough at touch, normally liver-brown or ruan-liver in color, with or without spots. Shiny eyes and long ears. Big tail that contributes to keep the balance of its muscular frame and it should never be amputated or cut. Well shaped feet with pads that are firm to the touch. Muscular body, it looks more like a big size Spaniel than a Pointer.
