EPAGNEUL BRETON (Spaniel Breton) (French Brittany Spaniel)
Tireless show and retrieving French Spaniel, bred to work in any land, that hunts more like the Braques, Setters and Pointers than the Spaniels. It is currently much extended in the United States.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
It comes from an ancient tailless Gaulish breed, reason why there are currently some dogs that are born with no tail.
It has a light complexion, but it is capable to transport hares and pheasants. It is intelligent, with great reflexes, caring and always playful. Even when what interests it the most in this world is to hunt birds, it will be happy with any type of occupation, either if it is playing or working. It is important to take it out for regular long walks. What it likes the most is to travel.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Nice, slightly curly coat of a white (always combined with orange, liver or black), tricolor or roan color, longer at the feet, but it never demands too much work. The eyes go from amber to dark brown, never bulging.
Ears placed high, slightly infringed that wave when moving. Short or liturgically cut tail, but never more than 10 cm of length. It has a short and straight body, slightly descending to the tail.
