DOGS WITH CANCER

DOGS WITH CANCER

We think many times that the veterinary that is diagnosing our dog with a malignant tumor (cancer) is giving it a death sentence. It is not like that. Different types of cancer are fought with different kinds of treatments that heal the cancer many times and others, lots of times, prolongs the dog's life making it more pleasant at the same time.

After the surgical extirpation of a tumor, the dog can be completely healed, if they could take all the cancerous tissue, or need some other types of treatments, if the cancer has extended to other areas.

Chemotherapy fights the cancer with medications and is particularly useful when the dog suffers from linfosarcoma (cancer of the corpuscle). In order to inhibit the activity of the cancerous cells many mutations are administered at the same time, sometimes with side effects.

The radiotherapy, even when it can be received only in specialized centers, sometimes is extraordinarily effective. dog leash walking

There is always the possibility to go for certain alternative therapies in order to improve the quality of life of our dogs.
