Dogs need for Physical execise

How to physically exercise you dog +- equipment, pen

Exercising is essential for the dog. Even when the amount of exercise the dog needs will depend on its breed, age and physical shape, all of them need, with no exception, to stretch their legs outdoors physically and mentally to keep healthy and happy. Besides, the exercise usually bring along playing and having fun, two really important aspects for your dog's quality of life.

CONDUCT PATTERNS

In their natural environment, canines spend almost the whole day sleeping, even when as soon as they wake up they have to use almost all of their energy to search, catch and eat their food. That is why our dogs tend to sleep when they don't have an exterior stimulus that invites them for the action, in which they will use their entire accumulated energy running, jumping, fighting and playing. dog car harness

This conduct patter fits so well in our lifestyle that it may be one of the reasons why dogs keep on being our friends. It is good to establish a routine that alternates periods of deep rest with sudden brackets of activity and excitation. If you want your dog to get used to this routine, establish it from the very first moment. Decide the hours in which you are going to take the dog out for exercising and the hours in which the dog will get used to rest and relax. The idea is not turn ourselves into our dog's slaves, but to give them the right to exercise, so they will behave properly the rest of the day.

WITH OR WITHOUT LEAD?

Should I walk my dog with the lead or let it off? That will depend on many factors. First of all, the characteristics of the area you live at. In many urban parks it is prohibited to walk dogs without a lead; get informed before getting a fine. Even in the places where it is aloud to let the dogs free, you should make sure there is not danger before doing it. Are there many cars crossing by? Are there special sanitary wastepaper baskets? Are there children playing? Even when your dog may be sociable and kind, it is more considerate to walk it on the lead if there are children around or people horse back riding. You might know that your dog obeys you and doesn't react in a strange way, but you have absolutely no idea about how those children or horses will react. dog pulling harness

Never risk your dog's life letting it off the lead in places where there is cattle. If a free dog begins disturbing sheep or cows, the farmers are legally aloud to shoot the dog.
Letting the dog free or not will depend on both, the character of your dog and your efforts to train it. If your dog is unsociable with other dogs or people, don't take the risk to walk it without the lead until you get the chance to talk with a specialist on canine conduct problems.
