Dogs and Children

 When we decide to welcome a dog at home, the presence of small children should not be an argument against it. The dogs and the children are almost always big friends, mainly if they cohabit from the childhood. And the dogs are almost always very patient with the small ones, with the exception of the old dogs, not very interested in making new friendships that can exasperated if a boy climes up or he pulls the tail. The children should understand mainly that the dog is not a toy but an alive being and should not bother him while this eating or when he is sleep, neither should they squeeze it or to allow him to  lick them in the hands or the face. 

As for the dog it is necessary to teach him to watch over the children and to measure their forces when it plays with them, mainly if it is of big size or very restless , because it could scratched or to make their friends fall. 

It will be better, also, to teach  the children to not caress unknown dogs. And to teach them to respect, in their relationship with the dog, the elementary rules of the hygiene.
