Evolution of Dog Species
Many theories have been proposed to explain the origin of the dog, some of which made it descend directly from the wolf, while others assume that the dog's closest ancestor was the fox or the jackal. Both, the fox and the jackal belong to the canine family (animals related with the dog). The relationship among the three spices, as well as the fact that they can procreate among themselves, made people speculate about the possibility that the dog is the product of the combinations of the wolf and the jackal. Modern scientists considers, though, that the dog's direct ancestor is the Canis lupus pallipes, a variety of the gray wolf that exists today only in India and the Middle East.
THE DOG AND THE MAN
The association between dogs and humans is very ancient. Even on the first cave painting, you can find dogs hunting with humans and the bones found in very primitive locations reveal that dogs and humans used to live together at least 15 thousand years ago. chain link dog kennels, indoor dog kennels, custom dog kennels
Nevertheless, it doesn't seem probable that from the very first moment humans and canines have been friends and partners. On the contrary, the relations between these species must have been not as cordial as we can imagine. dog kennel dog house
Even when nobody has doubts about the fact the wolf is one of the dog's direct ancestors; one thing is that its genes could have helped in the appearance of many breeds as the ones of the modern dogs and another very different thing is that the man has been capable to all of a sudden domesticate an adult wolf, that used to be a wild predator and lived in packs.
It doesn't seem very probable either that the man used to steal wolf puppies from their lair, transfer them to his house and automatically transform them into domestic animals, since the wolf puppies would, in a period of time, become adults and ended up showing the same behavior as the rest of the wolfs, according to their natural predator instincts. outdoor cat houses, cat houses cat house
The most probable thing is that a genetic mutation took place on the wolf around the same period in which the man was turning from a nomadic hunter into a sedentary person. This mutation could have stopped the evolution to the adult predator stage between 4 and 6 months of age. Wooden Dog Houses
