Created in 1880, it was first known as "urchin or Belgian loafing". Bred as farm buzzard, it soon got the sympathy of the nobility that upgraded it to the grade of elite pet. More people learn about its charm every time and that is why it is becoming so popular.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Great part of its charm comes from its ape-like face. It is classified as a Toy variety, but its character is pretty much alike to the rest of the Terriers. It is a resistant, hard and very funny dog. Comfort lover and really intelligent it is a well educated company dog.

PHYSICAL ASPECT

 

There are Brussels Griffons with hard and straight hair. The hard haired ones' coat is straight and short, formed by wire like hair. Both varieties can be red, black or black and fire. Very big rounded eyes with a dark border on the eyelids. Semi-straight ears very separated from each other and placed high. It is usual to surgically cut their tails, which is kept high.
