British Deutsch DRAHTHAAR AND KURZHAAR Dogs
Originated from a mixture of the Spanish Braque and the Bloodhound came the ancient German Braquem, a dog that looks excessively heavy and slow. The careful improvement of this breed that took place in the XIX century gave place to two strong, vigorous, resistant and versatile breeds: the Drahthaar and the Kurszhaar, or German Braques with hard and short hair respectively.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
These brave hunters fear nothing, not easy intimidated by impassable lands, inclemency or water.
Their kind of austere gesture hides a loyal, warm and affectionate heart. If they don't exercise enough, they can be really mischievous, but they are happy partners for the whole family.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
Both breeds combine the liver and liver mixture color with white, but the Drahthaar can also be white and back.
The Kurzhaar coat is rough and hard; the Drahthaar's is longer and more rustic. Brushy eyebrows and a short beard. Both of them have hazel eyes of an intelligent look, ears placed high that reach the lips if they are put forward and compact feet with strong nails.
