AFGHAN HOUND (Tazi) Dogs
Slender and elegant, but not less robust, it was used for centuries as a hunting dog in Afghanistan, where its hair used to protect it from the extreme cold weather.
This is a very ancient breed, probably originated in the Middle East.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

PHYSICAL ASPECT
Its silky and undulating coat demand daily brushing and professional attention. The white spots are considered undesirable, even when the breed standards allow any color.
Its almond eyes offer it certain oriental beauty. Long and silky ears, placed low, that are almost confused with the coat. Long and fine tail, curly at the tip of it. Very developed front paws, covered with long hair. Elegant neck with aristocratic air almost of a straight angle with its muscular body. Straight body and strong rear paws.
